In his parting words in Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus commissioned us to make disciples, baptizing his new followers and teaching them to obey his teachings. Therefore, we encourage every believer to be baptized during a corporate worship service. This sacramental act emphasizes God’s grace and reminds us that the church is a family. It is a holy opportunity to identify with Jesus’ death and resurrection and to publicly confess “Jesus is Lord” before others.

Child dedications are a public declaration from you, the parents, that you intend to raise your child to know and serve God. Child dedications often occur when the child is an infant but may also take place at any time in a child’s life. 

When you sign up, we will reach out to schedule a one-on-one meeting with you so that we can come to know you and to discuss the following topics:

1. A walk-through of Bible verses and passages that demonstrate dedication.
2. Encouragement of parents in understanding their God-given roles.
3. An overview of each step of the dedication liturgy and how the liturgy may be reflected in your home.

2025: February 9, March 16, May 11, June 15, August 31, September 28, and November 30

Join the women of New Life Downtown for our annual day retreat! The topic for this day will be around spiritual friendship and inviting others into our stories. We will worship, practice silence, and hear from a few different women from NLD. Bring your Bible and an expectant heart.

Coffee, lunch, snacks, and materials will be provided.
Space is limited to 100 women.
