We are here to partner with parents and guardians as the primary disciplers of their children. As a church, our desire is to come alongside you to care, connect, and equip you for this calling of parenthood.
Downtown Moms Discipleship
Our vision is to empower moms and their family, to live wholeheartedly in pursuit of the Lord. We create a space for moms to hear from speakers about four main categories including 1) spiritual formation 2) parenting 3) marriage and 4) outward facing topics. Our hope is that these gatherings bring you deeper in connection with the Lord, other moms, and inspire you in your own spiritual, emotional and intellectual growth.
Parent Learning Community
The NLD Parent Learning Community is a discipleship group for parents with kids still in their household. The purpose of the group is to connect, grow, and pray together around the mission of parenting. This is a digital group, meeting online from 8-9pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. We use this format because we know life for parents is busy, but hopefully this makes the group accessible for you in the midst of bedtime routines and busy schedules to engage in meaningful, discipleship oriented community with other parents. Child Dedications
Child dedications are both a blessing and a declaration of you, as parents, to raise your child to know and serve the Lord. Child dedications often occur when the child is an infant, but can also take place at any time in a child’s life because the dedication is an expression of your commitment to God as parents. When you sign up, we will reach out to schedule a 1-on-1 coffee to connect with parents looking to dedicate their children during which we will get to know you and discuss 3 things:
- A walk through of Bible verses and passages that demonstrate dedication.
- Encouragement of parents in understanding their God-given roles.
- An overview of each step of the dedication liturgy and how the liturgy can be reflected in your home.
